The Motoryst Weekly

You can read public editions without an account. If you subscribe by email, we store your email address, confirmation time and subscription preference to send the Weekly, including selected partner offers. We use Amazon SES to deliver these emails.

We send a confirmation link before activating an email-only subscription. Unsubscribe using the link in any edition. We retain a suppression record to respect unsubscribes and prevent further deliveries after complaints or permanent bounces. Subscription requests are rate limited using a keyed digest of your IP address.

Data we collect

• Account and contact information provided during sign-up.
• Vehicle details and service records you upload or generate.
• Receipt and document images you choose to process with Smart Scan or WhatsApp capture.
• Technical and usage analytics such as device and browser events.
• Support history when you contact us by email or forms.

How we use data

• To provide reminders, valuations, history checks, and platform features.
• To extract suggested receipt details such as supplier, date, amount, mileage, category, and vehicle registration when you use an AI-assisted capture feature.
• To maintain account security and prevent misuse of services.
• To improve UX, product performance, and support operations.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations where required.

Sharing and processors

We share data only with trusted suppliers needed to operate the service, such as hosting, payment, and analytics providers, under contractual safeguards.

When you choose Smart Scan or WhatsApp document capture, the selected image is sent securely to our AI processing provider so that suggested document details can be returned for your review. AI-generated details are not saved as a cost until you confirm them.
